We are at 14 weeks (24 to go!) and this little one is already wearing me out! I had my monthly checkup today and took the boys with me so they could hear the heartbeat. "She" literally took about 8 minutes to get a good hearbeat with the doppler thing because she kept hiding from it. You aren't even supposed to feel movement according to the books for another few weeks, but I have been feeling the flutters since 11 weeks and now she's all over the place. She was going from one side to the other trying to get away from the heartbeat thing and doing her best to hide. At one point, the nurse got her down by my hip bone and she kicked back so hard the nurse jumped away and screamed. You also aren't supposed to be able to feel movement from the outside yet, but the nurse got that kick loud and clear! We weren't scheduled to have an ultrasound, but the Dr. couldn't tell the boys no when they asked to see the baby, so they got to see her on the screen for a few minutes. The photo part wasn't working so they could not print a picture, but the baby looked perfect! We saw the hands and feet moving all around and all the other important parts....except the part we really wanted to see. She turned right after we saw her so we could see the top of her head but her "parts" were on the other side so no chance of telling for sure whether it's a girl or boy.
I did schedule my big ultrasound for Monday, Nov. 17th so in less than a month we'll know for sure! The best part was that everything looks perfect and healthy so we are happy either way!
