Christmas Eve Events

Christmas Eve day, John helps the boys make cookies to decorate for Santa

Working hard rolling dough & cutting out shapes

All ready to bake!

They also helped me make some other desserts & here they are hard at work "helping" to lick the spoon!

Christmas Eve all dressed up for church

Beautiful girl on her first Christmas Eve. She was an angel during church, of course.

Handsome Ryan

Little man Shane

After church, we come back to our house. Here are the grandkids with Grandma & Grandpa, not good of everyone, but the best I got

Ryan and Grandpa were doing great for this one!

Rhonda Louise and Shelby Louise

Our 3 were tired of sitting after church and ready to eat!

My Christmas miracle- she's a girl!! (still quite amazed at that miracle every day!)

4 generations of "angels" ;)

Shane Robert and A. Robert snuggling on the couch waiting for food

Shelby wanted her grandpa to kiss her under the mistletoe

Once he realized what it was, he was happy to grant her wish!

OK, pretend like Ryan's face looks as cute as it does in real life and this would have been a good one! He's had a habit of closing his eyes in pictures this month & the drunk look does not really work for him!

After dinner, we let the kids decorate their own cookies for Santa

Ryan had a "oops!!" with the candy, but was content to just start eating it!

Shelby's first time to make cookies

and her first time to try to eat cookies...and a little green icing...sshhhh!

Putting out reindeer food as everyone left....it's cold!

Before bed, we always let them each open 1 book & 1 ornament that represents their year. Shelby's ornament was given to her early, so we would have a little pink for her to decorate with, but she likes her book!

Ryan LOVES to color and do art, so this one was perfect for him!

I did not put Shane's Kinder picture in it yet (obviously, but that did confuse him at first, since he did not know her!), but Shane got a backpack with 2009 on it to represent starting Kindergarten this year.

Shelby went to sleep to dream of sugarplum fairies right away, but the boys still have that sparkle as they put out their "yummy" looking cookies for Santa!

Merry Christmas to all.....and to all a good night!
